Ukrposhta is preparing an agreement with the American postal operator USPS, which will allow for the delivery of goods from Amazon and other marketplaces to Ukraine, said Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smiliansky in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

The agreement could come into effect as early as 2025. By January 1 of next year, Ukrposhta aims to reach an agreement with USPS for the delivery of small parcels and is working to finalize negotiations for larger shipments.

Goods from Amazon will be delivered via the UK. According to Smiliansky, parcels will be in Ukraine 'within a day.'

Ukrposhta is also continuing talks with the British postal service to lower tariffs for Ukraine.

"We have already reached an agreement with USPS regarding small packages. As for parcels, I hope to achieve results by January 1. I would like this agreement to be operational in 2025. Ideally, it would be good to finalize this agreement in November so that we have time to prepare technologically. So, those are the plans, and work in this direction continues. However, as in any negotiations, the final point will be set, and the date for signing the document will be determined. If we sign an agreement with USPS, all the major marketplaces that are currently unavailable will emerge. USPS works with all of them," said Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smiliansky.
