During a ceremony online on 28 January 2021, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Kateryna Zelenko signed an Agreement on the functions and duties of Oleksandr Kyrychuk, the new Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Auckland (New Zealand).
The consular jurisdiction of the new Honorary Consulate of Ukraine will cover the whole territory of New Zealand as the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported.
Ukraine continues to develop relations with other countries and extend the presence even at the most remote corners of the world. The activity of one more representativeâs office of Ukraine abroad has officially started its work in New Zealand.

During the virtual designation ceremony, Zelenko expressed hope that the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in New Zealand will further promote political, trade, economic, cultural, and people-to-people relations, and that the new Honorary Consulâs activity will become an example of safeguarding the interests of the Ukrainians in this Pacific country.
The Honorary Consul intends to pay particular attention to improving Ukraineâs economic presence in New Zealand, expanding the export opportunities for our country, and attracting investments into the economy of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Kyrychuk was born in Odessa. Since 2002 he lives with his family in New Zealand and conducts his family business there.
