Ukraine Football Association President Andriy Shevchenko participated in a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

The event was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, leadership of the French Football Federation, government officials, and other distinguished guests.

“On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I want to express sincere support to the people of France. We Ukrainians understand your pain, as we face daily terrorist attacks from Russia — missiles, drones, death, and destruction. We know what it means to lose innocent lives and to fear for the safety of our loved ones.

In such moments, unity against the forces of evil is most important. Only together can we resist those who spread terror, hatred, and death, and protect the values that unite us — life, freedom, and democracy,” emphasized Andriy Shevchenko.

As a reminder, on November 13, 2015, a series of terrorist attacks occurred in Paris, killing 131 people and injuring over 400. One of the epicenters was the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, where a football match between France and Germany was taking place.
