As part of the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, another 11 Ukrainian children have been returned from the temporarily occupied territories and Russia.
This was announced by the Head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, on Telegram.
According to him, among the rescued children are two brothers, aged 10 and 12, whose father was tortured to death for his pro-Ukrainian stance.
"After his death, their mother finally decided to leave the temporarily occupied territory with her sons. A two-year-old child was also evacuated along with a pregnant mother. The woman had firmly refused to obtain Russian documents, but because of this, she was unable to leave the occupation on her own. Once on Ukrainian-controlled territory, she gave birth to another child—in safe conditions," wrote the Head of the Presidential Office.
Yermak expressed gratitude to the Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman for assisting in the organization of the rescue mission and to everyone involved in this important effort.
