Producers of explosives will be able to receive support for scaling up production. The government has approved a resolution to launch a separate grant competition from the defense-tech cluster Brave1. The goal is to quickly supply the Ukrainian Defense Forces with explosives for maximum impact against the Russian forces.

The grant competition includes a transparent selection procedure, technical expertise from Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces, product testing, and control at every stage of project implementation. Participants can receive funding to start or expand production — including equipment, raw materials, and necessary systems.

“We have rethought the role of the state in the market and started issuing grants to companies involved in innovations that change the situation on the battlefield. Brave1 has already become the largest angel investor in Ukraine for defense tech, awarding over 560 grants totaling more than 2.2 billion UAH. Launching this new program to scale up explosive production is another step toward strengthening the country’s defense potential and the ability to quickly supply the front with technology in the required volumes,” emphasized First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine — Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

This is another step toward creating a full-fledged infrastructure for serial ammunition production in Ukraine.
