Canada will assist in attracting private investors to implement projects for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction.
This is stated in a joint communiqué following the visit of the Canadian Prime Minister to Ukraine.
“Canada and Ukraine will work on mobilizing private sector involvement in Ukraine’s reconstruction, using mechanisms such as multilateral development banks and export credit agencies,” the communiqué says.
The document notes that “the leaders discussed joint energy projects in the fields of hydropower, small modular reactors, and the oil and gas sector.”
It adds: “They agreed to deepen cooperation on energy security, including cybersecurity, infrastructure protection, and the implementation of advanced technologies to reduce hybrid and man-made threats.”
Ukraine and Canada also agreed to establish an annual meeting format between defense ministers and foreign ministers and reached an agreement to develop joint defense enterprises
