The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to inflict maximum harm on Russian troops in the battles near Soledar in the Bakhmut direction. This was announced by the speaker of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevaty, on the air of the national telethon.
He assured that our defenders would ensure that even for small achievements at the front, the occupiers would pay with heavy losses in their ranks. Now the battles are being fought to exhaust the Russian troops.
"It is the defenders of Soledar who are now doing everything possible to exhaust the enemy, to minimize his potential so that even some of his small tactical successes (obtained by super efforts and heavy losses) lead to a big" Pyrrhic "victory," he said.
According to Cherevaty, the enemy fired at the city 86 times over the past day from various artillery systems.
It should be noted that for several months the Ukrainian army has been fighting fierce battles with the invaders in the vicinity of Bakhmut. Russians do not stop trying to storm the city, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine are talking about the huge losses of the enemy in this direction.
Days earlier, Cherevaty stated that the occupying troops did not control Soledar and suffered heavy losses.
