The programme of the concert will include music of Isaac Dunaevskyâs beloved operetta âWhite Acaciaâ. For the first time this operetta was performed in Odessa in 1956 and immediately became the hallmark of the city. The idea of âââWhite Acaciaâ arose in May 1954, when the famous composer Isaac Dunaevsky came to Odessa with the librettists Vladimir Mass and Mikhail Chervinsky.
Also, as part of the concert, music from the Strauss operettas (âGypsy Baronâ), Lehar (âGold and Silverâ, âJudithâ) and the Hungarian composer Imre Kalman (âMaritsaâ and âSilvaâ) will be played.
