Ukrainian military is preparing for various scenarios on the front ahead of the presidential elections in Russia. The enemy will take an active position on the battlefield, not abandoning the pursuit of imaginary 'victories,' and will use propaganda, including information-psychological operations in Ukraine.
This information was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, during a broadcast on national television.
Regarding the battlefield, in his opinion, the enemy will continue specific offensive operations on certain sections of the front.
"We observe heightened tensions on the Ukrainian eastern front, ongoing active actions by Ukrainian security and defense forces. The military-political leadership is informed and prepared for various scenarios," he stated.
Yusov emphasized once again that Ukrainian security and defense forces are ready for different scenarios, including on the Kupyansk direction, but "we will not disclose more than has been reported."
Commenting on possible actions by occupiers, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted that they will have a combined nature.
"If we talk about a constant threat from the air, the same missile strikes and UAVs, these are also reactions to the lack of success on the battlefield. Therefore, along with propaganda, the enemy will try to take the most active position until March," he concluded.
According to Yusov, when it comes to Russian propaganda, reality is not very significant.
"If there are no real achievements on the battlefield, and there are none, then imaginary information-psychological operations (IPSO) against Ukraine will be invented, declared non-existent victories. This is what Russian propaganda will do and is already doing in preparation for Putin's elections," concluded the intelligence officer.
