For several months, Russian propaganda announced a "major offensive" of the Russian army on the front in Ukraine. However, the enemy has no success. According to Vadym Skibitsky, rMain Directorate of Intelligence, the general bravado of the occupiers was more based on misinformation and a general overestimation of their own capabilities. In reality, however, they faced the impossibility of conducting an offensive in several directions at the same time.
A representative of the military intelligence of Ukraine talked about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. Vadym Skibitsky emphasizes that currently, the Russian army has a single goal - to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. However, they are not particularly successful, because this requires planning and conducting large-scale strategic operations.
The military intelligence of Ukraine regularly receives information about the positions and numbers of enemy troops. This allows the General Staff of the Armed Forces to plan further countermeasures.
Currently, the occupiers are most active in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Lyman, Kupyansk and Shakhtarsk directions.
