Defence Intelligence: The leadership of Russia understands that the plan to seize Ukraine quickly is impossible
Russia's preparation for a long-term war means the enemy's understanding that his plan to seize Ukraine quickly is not feasible. Therefore, Putin is now considering the option of a long war of attrition. Andriy Yusov, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the telethon.
"This concept of the so-called "special operation", in fact, a brutal invasion of the territory of Ukraine, consisted of the following - Putin planned that it should be quick. And all the forces and means of the enemy and, in general, the plan of the so-called "SVO" was a plan for a short war, the capture of Ukraine. It didn't work out," Andriy Yusov said.
A representative of Ukraine's military intelligence noted that there was no long-term war of attrition in Putin's plans. Still, in recent months it has been observed that the Russian Federation needs to switch to military tactics and force its society to get used to the idea that "war is for a long time."
"They are mobilizing all reserves and resources. They have high military budgets. Also, we will soon see other economic measures on the territory of the Russian Federation. Certainly, this is what Putin is preparing for. In Ukraine, the task is the opposite - 2023 should be the year of our victory, a fundamental change in the situation. Because neither Ukraine nor the entire civilized world needs this long war," concluded Andriy Yusov.
