The Danish government has decided to allocate 300 million Danish kroner (nearly €40 million) to an innovation fund to support Ukraine’s growing need for rapid technological advancements on the battlefield.
This was announced by the press service of the Danish Ministry of Defense.
According to the statement, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen recently consulted with the Foreign Policy Committee, which endorsed the allocation of 300 million Danish kroner to the innovation fund for Ukraine’s support.
The fund will focus on technological areas such as electronic warfare and drones, where rapid advancements are making a significant impact on the battlefield.
"There is no doubt that Ukraine faces immense pressure from Russian forces on the front line. Developing new technological solutions on the battlefield is one way for Ukrainians to counterbalance Russia’s advantage, and the funds from the innovation pool will help achieve this. It is crucial that we continue to support Ukraine so it can keep fighting for its freedom," Poulsen stated.
