Ukraine expects that the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development will play one of the key roles in the recovery strategy, told Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a session of the Government on January 27.
The PM emphasized that the OECD had been established after World War II and had helped to implement the Marshall Plan for the reconstruction of Europe.
âToday, the Government is submitting a draft law to the Parliament that will allow us to establish an OECD Office in Ukraine. We submitted our application to join the organization last summer. A month and a half ago, we agreed with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann to open an office in Kyiv. Now we are taking a step on our part to implement this agreement,â said Denys Shmyhal.
The Head of Government has told that Ukraine is forming a large coalition of countries and organizations to implement the Recovery Plan for Ukraine as efficiently and quickly as possible.
