On the night of June 23, Russian forces launched a combined drone and missile attack on Kyiv. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a residential building was destroyed as a result of the strike.
Damage was recorded in multiple districts of the capital, but the most severe consequences, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, occurred in Shevchenkivskyi.
A whole section of a multi-story residential building was destroyed. Six people have been confirmed dead. State Emergency Service (SES) workers rescued 19 injured individuals, all of whom are receiving medical care.
Recovery efforts following the attack are ongoing at two locations. Over 400 emergency responders and 100 units of equipment have been deployed. Updates are being provided as new information becomes available.
