A sovereign Ukraine, capable of defending itself from Russian aggression, means a safer Poland.
This was written by the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, on the social media platform X.
"A sovereign and pro-Western Ukraine, capable of defending itself from Russian aggression, means a stronger and safer Poland. In the context of political upheavals and rising chaos, this is the most important thing. Anyone who questions this obvious truth is contributing to Putin's triumph. Is this understood?" emphasized Tusk.
Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Paweł Wroński, during a media briefing, stated on Tuesday that the situation regarding the suspension of U.S. aid to Ukraine is "very serious." He noted that this decision was made without any prior informing or consultations with NATO allies or the 'Ramstein' group, which handles military aid to Ukraine.
In this context, he emphasized that Poland's position is to continue supporting Ukraine in its resistance to Russian aggression.
According to him, the Polish Council of Ministers will respond to the U.S. decision regarding the suspension of military aid to Ukraine after the government meeting on Tuesday.
