Albania and Montenegro will join the Three Seas Initiative as associated members, while Turkey and Spain will join as strategic partners of the Initiative.
This was announced by Polish President Andrzej Duda at the Belvedere Palace in Warsaw during the opening of this year's Three Seas Summit.
Duda emphasized that this year’s summit is crucial given the current geopolitical situation and the war in Ukraine.
He stated that the Three Seas community is expanding.
‘Montenegro and Albania will officially join the Three Seas Initiative as associated members. Turkey and Spain will join us as strategic partners,’ Duda announced.
He also declared that the next Three Seas Summit will take place in 2026 in Croatia.
This year’s 10th anniversary summit features high-level delegations from over 20 countries, including 12 presidents.
