European Airbus is preparing to strengthen technical support for its helicopter fleet in Ukraine.
Following the 2018 contract for the delivery of 55 helicopters (21 H225, 10 H145, and 24 H125) for the needs of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, the country has faced difficulties maintaining these aircraft amid the ongoing war.
In response, Airbus plans to invest in the development of local service capabilities and strengthen partnerships with Ukrainian companies to ensure prompt technical maintenance and reduce helicopter downtime.
The original agreement included the establishment of a training and service center in Kyiv to train pilots and technical staff.
However, due to active hostilities, implementation of these plans was delayed.
Now, Airbus intends to step up efforts to create a full-fledged maintenance infrastructure, including the possible deployment of mobile repair teams and the expansion of cooperation with Ukrainian enterprises.
