Ukrainian drones, analogs of the "Lancet," have undergone preliminary testing and are getting ready for their first combat trials.
This was announced by Vice Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on the Diia channel on YouTube.
It is noted that drones from four companies were tested in recent days.
Out of the four drones, two successfully passed the tests.
Fedorov mentioned that in the future, production of about 100 similar drones per month may be organized within several months.
The "Lancet" allows extending the range of vehicle impacts; it operates at 30-40 km, while FPV drones work at 10-20 km.
Another advantage of a drone like the "Lancet" is that it can operate during the day because large quadcopters can only operate under the cover of darkness.
Such drones are controlled via a video channel, allowing for guidance and adjustment of movement during targeting.
Additionally, such drones have a target acquisition function, allowing them to target the last 300-500 meters without direct communication with the drone.
Mykhailo Fedorov also emphasized the need to introduce a market for similar drones.
"It's a technological product, so we couldn't launch it immediately; we needed to launch the market... and now we have the result," said the Vice Prime Minister.
"There will be 2-3 products on the market competing with each other, and in a year, there will be a dozen such companies," he added.
The next step will be testing on the battlefield.
