The Executive Committee of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has extended the ban on the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions under the organization's auspices, as reported on the organization's website on Tuesday.

"The Executive Committee has extended the current status quo regarding the participation of Russia and Belarus in FIBA competitions until the next meeting of the central board," the statement said.

In early March 2022, FIBA made the decision to suspend all Russian teams from participating in its tournaments.
