Russian forces shelled the Sudzha gas metering station in the Kursk region. The Russian forces blamed Ukraine for the attack.

This was reported by the Ukrainian General Staff.

"The Russian Federation is escalating its disinformation campaign against Ukraine. The enemy accused our Armed Forces of shelling the Sudzha gas metering station. These accusations are groundless," the statement reads.

The General Staff emphasized that the station has been repeatedly shelled by the Russians themselves. In particular, last summer, it was bombed with guided air bombs, and just three days ago, Russian forces struck it again with GAB bombs.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the enemy shelled the Sudzha station with artillery the day before.

The General Staff also mentioned that previously, Russian troops used the pipeline of the main gas pipeline for the covert movement of their units.

"The Russians continue to produce numerous fake stories and aim to mislead the international community. We urge people to trust only official sources, verify information, and not fall for manipulations," the General Staff added.

On the night of March 21, reports emerged of a large fire at the Sudzha gas metering station in the Kursk region. The station was reportedly shelled, with Russian media blaming Ukraine.

The fire was visible from Kursk, Belgorod, and the border with Sumy region.

It is worth noting that Russian gas transit through Ukraine was carried out via the Sudzha station. However, as of January 1, 2025, the transit officially stopped as Ukraine refused to extend the agreement.
