The key areas of strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Great Britain were the subject of a meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Great Britain David Cameron in London.

"We were the first to sign the Security Cooperation Agreement with Ukraine. They support our army, support our economy. They became the impetus for launching the insurance of vessels in the Black Sea against military risks. Ukraine is grateful for the leadership shown by the government of Great Britain and every individual citizen of the country in supporting Ukraine's stability," said Yulia Svyrydenko.

As noted by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine, our country has set the goal for this year to become more economically self-sufficient. To achieve this goal, the Government is working on expanding export opportunities, including strengthening non-commodity exports, strengthening the energy sector, creating joint defense enterprises, supporting Ukrainian producers, and directing confiscated Russian assets to support Ukraine's recovery.

"Today the Minister assured us that Great Britain is ready to continue providing Ukraine with very practical assistance," said Yulia Svyrydenko.

Indeed, agreements have already been reached to expand the UNITY vessel insurance mechanism. Great Britain will also continue to support our defense, including the production and supply of drones for the Ukrainian military. The United Kingdom has allocated £200 million for these needs. Partners are also ready to provide their expertise to increase the efficiency of privatization in Ukraine. For Ukraine, this means the opportunity to attract additional investments into the country and transform loss-making enterprises into businesses that generate additional revenue for the state and provide jobs for Ukrainians.
