In Odessa, as a result of the ignition of fuel tanks and a children's toy warehouse on March 10, a significant amount of pollutants and combustion products were released into the air.

This was reported by the Odesa City Council on Telegram.

According to the Odesa City Council, as of March 11, 2025, there have been 21 emergency incidents related to fires in the region, including 5 in the city of Odessa.

"As a result of the fires, a significant amount of pollutants and combustion products were released into the air," the statement reads.

The city authorities also noted that until the air quality situation improves, it is recommended, if possible, to stay indoors or use a respirator, as well as to keep windows and doors closed at home to prevent smoke from entering the premises.

The Municipal Center for Environmental Safety of the Odesa City Council and the Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine are currently monitoring the state of atmospheric air, and the results will be reported additionally.
