Russian forces continued their widespread attacks across Ukraine on July 9 and into the early hours of July 10, killing civilians, damaging infrastructure, and targeting residential areas with drones, missiles, and artillery. Multiple regions reported casualties and destruction.
Zaporizhzhia Region
Russian troops launched 420 strikes on 12 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, injuring two civilians in the Vasylivka district. According to regional head Ivan Fedorov, the Russian forces carried out 8 airstrikes and launched 288 UAVs — mostly FPV drones — against towns including Kamianske, Huliaipole, and Shcherbaky. There were also 7 MLRS attacks and 117 artillery strikes. Thirty-seven reports of damage were recorded, affecting homes, garages, vehicles, and agricultural equipment.
Kherson Region
A child was killed and 14 others injured in Russian shelling across 43 settlements in the Kherson region, according to regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin. Critical infrastructure, including homes, a cell tower, and civilian vehicles, was damaged. The city of Kherson was among the areas targeted by drone and artillery fire.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
Russian forces targeted the Nikopol area using FPV drones and artillery, damaging homes, garages, and beehives, though no injuries were reported. In Synelnykivskyi district, a guided aerial bomb (GAB) strike injured a 43-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman and destroyed five private homes, with 20 more damaged.
Mykolaiv Region
Three people were injured following Russian attacks on Mykolaiv region. FPV drones and artillery struck the Ochakiv community multiple times, while a ballistic missile hit a farm in the Horokhivka community, lightly injuring three employees. In Snihurivka, a drone strike damaged a house. Air defenses shot down two Shahed drones during the night.
Donetsk Region
Nine civilians were killed — five in Rodynske and four in Kostiantynivka — and ten others injured in the Donetsk region on July 9. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, at least 3,336 people have been killed and 7,501 injured in the region, excluding Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Sumy Region
Russian forces launched 75 attacks on 36 settlements in Sumy region, injuring four civilians. These included drone and artillery strikes, guided aerial bombs, and missile attacks. Civilian infrastructure and private homes were damaged in several communities. Seventeen residents were evacuated from border areas due to the ongoing threat.
Kharkiv Region
In the Kharkiv region, Russian attacks injured two civilians — a 61-year-old man in Pechenihy and a 73-year-old man in Lisna Stinka. The region was struck with missiles, UAVs, and FPV drones. Attacks damaged medical facilities, warehouses, homes, and wheat fields across Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and other districts.
