Since the start of Russia's war in Ukraine on February 24, more than 600 facilities in the Lugansk region have been damaged to varying degrees.
The head of the Lugansk military administration Sergey Gaidai reported about it.
"For 27 days, the enemy has been purposefully destroying the region's infrastructure, literally leveling our cities to the ground. It has not been easy for the Russians, but we are also suffering heavy losses from the invasion of the occupiers," he said.
According to Gaidai, critical infrastructure was damaged: three bridges were bombed, 30 industrial enterprises, including production sites of individual entrepreneurs and retail outlets.
Constant artillery shelling damaged: 15 health care facilities, 14 secondary schools, 11 kindergartens, and an orphanage, nine administrative buildings and CNAPs, six social facilities, four sports, and two cultural facilities, four buildings in which law enforcement agencies and SES units were located.
As a result of shelling by the army of the Russian Federation, 466 residential buildings were destroyed.
According to preliminary estimates, business losses in the Luhansk region in March this year already amounted to more than 1.6 billion UAH.
It will be recalled that Aleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that Russia was planning to carry out another stage of the offensive against Ukraine and was trying to gather manpower from all over its territory.
