Renowned philanthropist Howard Buffett visited Kherson, where he toured one of the underground hospitals and met with young residents of the city.
This was reported on Facebook by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“Howard Buffett visited Kherson — a well-known philanthropist and a friend of Ukraine. During his visit, he toured one of our underground hospitals, where patients undergo surgeries in safe conditions and then recover there. Howard spoke with them, supported our doctors and patients, and saw the challenging conditions in which the medical system of this frontline city operates today,” Shanko wrote.
According to him, a separate and very warm part of the visit was Howard Buffett’s meeting with children, organized with the help of the civic organization ‘United by Love for Children.’ Howard Buffett visited activity groups attended by young Kherson residents, presented them with gifts, and later took part in a children’s New Year celebration.
Shanko thanked Howard Buffett for his support of Kherson.
