The modern three-story facility is designed for 300 children. The kindergarten began operating in 1960. Construction of the new building started in the spring of 2021 before the full-scale invasion. It was planned that children could attend the modern and comfortable facility in 2022. However, due to the Russian invasion, the completion of the kindergarten was delayed. Moreover, the new building's roof, facade, windows, and interior walls of group rooms were damaged by the fragments of shells during the hostilities.
The construction of the kindergarten in Irpin was assisted by partners from the Portuguese city of Cascais, who allocated 500,000 euros for this purpose.
The total area of the facility is over 3,000 square meters. It is equipped with everything to make children feel comfortable and cozy. In addition to regular group rooms, there is a sports hall, a sports ground, and a mini-football field. Moreover, children can use the swimming pool, making it the only kindergarten in Irpin with a pool. The pool and the shelter are located on the ground floor of the building.
The kindergarten also features a physiotherapy room equipped with an ultrasonic inhaler, a device for preparing sialogen-oxygen foam, and an aroma lamp for aerophytotherapy. Children in the specially equipped room will also be taught computer literacy. The restoration of educational institutions in the Kyiv region continues, with 239 educational institutions damaged or destroyed due to the military aggression. So far, 196 have been rebuilt, including the restoration of 69 out of 86 kindergartens damaged by the Russians.
