As a result of a nighttime attack on Odessa, a man was killed — rescuers recovered his body from the rubble of a multi-story residential building.
This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
“Unfortunately, a man died as a result of last night’s Russian drone attack on Odessa. His body was just recovered by rescuers from the rubble of a residential high-rise,” the message reads.
The deceased was 32 years old.
Demolition of structural elements of the building is still ongoing.
On the night of July 24, Russian forces attacked Odessa with drones. The strike caused a fire that destroyed the historic Fruktovyi Passage at the Pryvoz Market. The Primorskyi Boulevard — part of a UNESCO protected zone — was also affected. A Russian drone struck a residential building in the Moldavanka district. In total, 25 buildings, two schools, and an architectural monument in the city center were damaged.
