Officials of the Odesa Regional Military State Administration are suspected of illegal actions. Under only one contract for the purchase of products, the participants "earned" more than UAH 7 million. The Acting Head of the National Police announced this today, February 2.

Employees of the National Police of Ukraine, together with other law enforcement agencies, continue to conduct activities aimed at identifying corruption schemes and identifying officials who profit from the war.

Another large-scale embezzlement scheme of state funds organized by officials of the Odesa Regional Military State Administration was exposed by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police and employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Odessa region.

According to the investigation, based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On ensuring the urgent needs of the population under martial law", UAH 500 million was allocated for the purchase of products and the purchase of special equipment and military uniforms for territorial defense units and voluntary formations of the territorial community of Odessa - more than UAH 106 million.

Instead of directing the funds allocated by the Government of Ukraine to the needs of the local population and the military, officials of the regional military administration developed a scheme for their appropriation: goods were bought at prices that were significantly higher than market prices, and the resulting difference was distributed among all participants of the business.
