At the end of September 2023, Ukraine, Estonia, and Luxembourg initiated the IT coalition, later joined by Belgium, Latvia, Lithuania, and Denmark. The Ministry of Defense shared the coalition's achievements over these two months.
Equipment from Latvia:
Latvian telecommunications companies LMT and TET, supported by the Latvian civil organization "Entrepreneurs for Peace," donated 300 laptops to scale up the SAP logistics system. This equipment will assist in managing material support in an additional 150 military units, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Financial support:
During the 17th meeting of the Defense Contact Group of Ukraine, Estonia announced its first contribution to the IT coalition, amounting to 500,000 euros. Luxembourg had previously made its contribution, totaling 10 million euros.
New partner country:
Iceland also announced its intention to join the coalition during the meeting, becoming the seventh partner country to join the initiative. The Ministry of Defense urged Germany to join the IT coalition during the visit of its Minister of Defense, Boris Pistorius, to Kyiv. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Kateryna Chernogorenko, addressed the German delegation during the meeting:
"We ask you to sign the Declaration of Intent and later join the main cooperation agreement within the IT coalition, currently being developed by Estonia and Luxembourg."
