The total tonnage of grain is about 580 thousand tons.
There are 16 ships with Ukrainian grain in the seaports of the Odessa region.
This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of President, Kyrylo Tymoshenko in Telegram.
He noted that today he arrived in the Odessa region together with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak.
"Today, the first ships with Ukrainian grain are being loaded in the ports of the Odessa region, which have been blocked in Ukrainian waters since the beginning of the war. Now there are 17 ships with almost 600,000 tons of cargo in the ports of the Odessa region. Of these, 16 vessels are carrying Ukrainian grain with a total tonnage of about 580,000 tons, which will soon leave for ports of destination," Tymoshenko said.
He added that he is convinced that Ukrainian grain will continue to feed people from all over the world.
The control over the ports "Odessa", "Chernomorsk" and "Yuzhny" remains entirely with the Ukrainian side.
On July 29, the ambassadors of the G7 countries arrived in Odessa. According to British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons, G7 and Turkish ambassadors are in Odessa to reiterate the importance of the UN-brokered agreement that allows food to be sent from Ukraine.
