The delegation of the German parliament, the Bundestag, visited Irpin in the Kyiv region.
Irpin's mayor, Oleksandr Markusin, announced this on Facebook.
"Today, my first deputy, Andriy Kravchuk, showed the representatives of the German Bundestag - deputies from various factions, as well as the leaders and employees of parliamentarians' offices - the destroyed Irpin. Those who influence political decisions in the leading state of Europe," Markusin noted.
According to him, currently, the entire Ukraine is awaiting a decision on the supply of long-range Taurus missiles. "Unfortunately, a significant portion of the parliament is not in a hurry to vote for the transfer of missiles to Ukraine - this week, a corresponding bill failed there," the mayor pointed out.
"I am convinced that anyone who personally witnesses what Russian missiles and shells have done to Irpin and other regions will never hesitate to support the transfer of weapons to Ukraine for defense," Markusin emphasized.
According to him, in order to reduce such situations and delays, the number of visits by foreign delegations should increase.
"People who decide the fate of assistance for Ukraine must see the consequences of Russian aggression with their own eyes. Thanks to our German guests for such an important visit!" Markusin added.
