In Odessa, the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, discussed priority areas for bilateral military cooperation with the Commander of the Finnish Navy, Rear Admiral Tuomas Tiilikainen.

"In Odessa, the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine held a meeting with representatives of the Finnish Navy, led by the Commander of the Finnish Navy," the statement said.
Neizhpapa briefed the delegation members on the current security situation in southern Ukraine and the Azov-Black Sea region, as well as the results and prospects of employing the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the war with Russia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current naval operations, ways to enhance the capabilities of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, and priority areas for bilateral military cooperation between the Finnish Navy and the Naval Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian naval representatives also shared their latest combat experience gained during the war with the guests.
After the official meeting, the commanders of the naval forces of the two countries honored the heroic feat of the defenders of Ukraine by lighting memorial candles at the Memorial to Fallen Servicemen. On the same day, Ukrainian naval personnel acquainted their foreign partners with the specifics of employing combat boats of the Naval Forces of Ukraine in the war with Russia.
The commander of the national fleet also expressed gratitude to the entire Finnish people for their support and assistance, especially that directed towards enhancing the capabilities of the Naval Forces of Ukraine.
