A delegation of parliamentarians from 14 countries and the European Parliament will visit Ukraine

On Wednesday and Thursday, a joint visit to Ukraine by parliamentarians from 14 countries and the European Parliament will take place. Reported by ERR.

According to the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian Parliament, Marko Mihkelson, the aim of the international delegation is to express strong support for Ukraine during the visit, which coincides with the eve of Independence Day and Independence Day.

During meetings with members of the Ukrainian parliament and government, discussions will cover the security situation and the necessary assistance to Ukraine for a strategic victory over Russia, which has launched an aggressive war. The issue of holding Russia accountable and compensating for the damages caused by the aggression will also be addressed.

The delegation of parliamentarians, consisting of 25 individuals, will meet in Kyiv with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and the heads of parliamentary committees. They will also attend a session of the Verkhovna Rada. Additionally, the delegation plans to meet with the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yevhen Perelubnyi, the Deputy Minister of Defense, Andrii Shevchenko, and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Oleksii Serhieiev.

During the two-day visit, the delegation will also participate in the third summit of the Crimea Platform, which will take place in Kyiv. On Thursday, on Ukraine's Independence Day, the parliamentarians will visit the airfield in Hostomel and the city of Irpin near Kyiv.

Delegates from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, Canada, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Germany, Finland, and the European Parliament, all part of the worldwide parliamentary network United4Ukraine created to support Ukraine, will be participating in the visit.
