A Dutch field hospital has been set up in Lviv region

The hospital is provided with the necessary medicines and consumables for a year of work.


A field hospital has been set up in Lviv region. The hospital was handed over to Ukraine by the decision of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the treatment and rehabilitation of wounded military and temporarily displaced persons who have left their homes due to a full-scale Russian invasion.

This was announced on Monday, March 28, in the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The mobile medical institution has 50 beds, as well as:

  • operating room;
  • resuscitation beds;
  • intensive care unit;
  • X-ray diagnostics department;
  • ultrasonic diagnostic devices;
  • clinical laboratory with blood bank;
  • oxygen concentrator.

The newly created hospital can operate without electricity supply on a diesel generator and is provided with the necessary supplies of medicines and consumables for a year of operation at full capacity.
A staff of specialists is currently being formed.
