In Azerbaijan, social media users began reporting widespread difficulties with access to the video platform TikTok, as reported by 1news.az.

According to media reports, users complained in the morning that they were unable to update their TikTok feeds, conduct live broadcasts, and more. However, there was no official information about restrictions on the activity of this social network.

Later, citing an official statement from the Service of Electronic Security at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, the media reported that access to the service for creating and viewing short videos on TikTok had been temporarily restricted in the country.

"From September 19, temporary restrictions on the activity of the social network 'TikTok' have been introduced on the territory of Azerbaijan. The Service of Electronic Security at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport calls on citizens to adhere to the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the rules and conditions set by the regulatory authorities of social networks when exchanging data," quoted the press service of the Service of Electronic Security.

It should be noted that on September 14, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan warned citizens and submitted a request to competent authorities regarding the temporary blocking of the social network TikTok on the territory of Azerbaijan. This request was motivated by the fact that after clashes on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on September 12-13, TikTok was broadcasting information about military operations that overshadowed the success of their army, revealed military secrets, and contributed to the formation of an incorrect public opinion in society
