Among them are servicemen of the Russian Federation and the Russian Guard.
While in the occupied territories of the Kyiv region, these invaders carried out so-called "cleansing" of settlements: they looted the property of local residents. They ransacked abandoned homes to send all this to their families later.
The investigators gathered indisputable evidence of their violation of the laws and customs of war.
It has been established that most of them are servicemen of unit 6720 of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation. Among them is a paratrooper from the occupied Crimea.
In particular, from February 24 to March 31, 2022, on the territory of temporarily occupied Bucha, these Russian soldiers looted "trophies" for themselves - computer and household appliances, jewelry, gadgets, clothes, food, etc.
It is documented that later the perpetrators sent the stolen property to their relatives in postal shipments from the Belarusian city of Mozyr. These "parcels" were intended for Altai and Khabarovsk Krai recipients on Sakhalin.
All of them have been notified of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of eight to twelve years.
