On the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine, 3 plots of land with a total value of over UAH 2 million were seized in Lviv region.
It was established that these allotments were illegally owned by Oksana Marchenko, the wife of Viktor Medvedchuk. Currently, the procedure of transferring them to the state administration is underway.
According to preliminary information, in 2009 the district state administration made an illegal decision to transfer a plot of land from state property to a private enterprise free of charge. At the same time, no changes were made in the "Book of Records on State Registration of State Acts on Ownership"
Subsequently, the entrepreneurs, in order to take possession of the assets "on legal grounds", entered notoriously unreliable information in official documents, divided the land allotment into 3 separate plots and registered them as company property.
On the land seized in this way, located in the tourist-attractive region of Stryi, the perpetrators began the construction of tourist infrastructure facilities.
In the course of investigative and operational actions, it was established that the ultimate beneficiary of the aforementioned company is Oksana Marchenko, who is included in the NSDC sanctions lists.
So far, the Skole District Court has satisfied the lawsuit initiated by the SBU regarding the seizure of these real estate objects.
The procedure of transferring seized assets to the management of the National Agency for Identification, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) is ongoing.
Investigations were carried out by employees of the SBU Office in the Lviv Region under the procedural guidance of the Stryi District Prosecutor's Office.
