The enemy sent missiles at energy and critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine's eastern, central, western, and southern regions.
The air defense forces destroyed 54 missiles out of more than 69 fired by the Russian invaders at Ukraine on the morning of December 29.
This was announced during a briefing by the Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov, commenting on the 10th massive attack by Russia.
"Today, the enemy committed another act of genocide against the Ukrainian people. So, from 7 am, the enemy launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine," he said.
Hromov added that during this strike, the enemy launched air and sea-based cruise missiles, anti-aircraft guided missiles, and S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems at energy and critical infrastructure facilities in the eastern, central, western and southern regions of Ukraine.
"The enemy used more than 69 missiles. Our country's air defense forces and equipment destroyed 54 missiles," he said.
The brigadier general also noted that in the period from December 23 to 28, the enemy used 23 kamikaze drones, and 19 enemy air targets were destroyed.
According to the Ministry of Energy, several Ukrainian energy facilities were damaged during a massive Russian missile attack on the morning of December 29. As of 11:00 a.m., the situation is difficult in the west of the country, Odessa and Kyiv regions.
