The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Albania has approved the form of the international veterinary certificate prepared by the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service of Ukraine in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the export of dairy products that have undergone thermal processing. The official form of the international certificate for the export of Ukrainian dairy products is available on the official website of the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service.
In order to export food products, market operators must submit a request for unscheduled veterinary control in accordance with the requirements of the destination country to the main departments of the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service in the regions and in Kyiv, as well as to its interregional branches at the state border where the products are located.
In addition to the market operator's application, the following documents are required:
- A copy of the foreign trade agreement/contract.
- Copies of documents certifying the presence of special requirements established by the competent authority of the destination country (if applicable).
- Copies of other documents confirming the characteristics of food products and the means of transport (if applicable), such as an invoice, CMR, and food product cargo specification.
The relevant territorial authority will issue the international certificate on the working day following the market operator's request.
As of now, the products that can be exported to Albania include poultry, meat-based semi-finished products, and thermally processed dairy products for consumption.
