"The group "Information Resistance" continues to document the names of Russian soldiers who have been acknowledged as killed or buried within Russia itself.
As of May 24th, there are 55,148 names on the list for which there are complete data. We have also slightly improved our search, thanks to which we were able to "distribute" around 300 individuals by regions where there were discrepancies. Another 400 or so are confirmed dead, but there are still inaccuracies.
This is a small part of the confirmed irreversible losses. Their total number, according to our estimates, is about 200,000. I would like to remind you that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine publishes estimates of all losses - both sanitary and irreversible. The number has exceeded 500,000.
What are the trends?
In Russia, there is still a controlled disclosure of information about the deceased. Over the past three months (since February 26th), we have recorded 9,270 deaths. Taking into account the clarified names for previous periods, the dynamics of "making public ~100 bodies per day" is preserved. This allows the authorities not to scare mercenaries too much and to designate some "honoring of heroes".
The leaders in absolute numbers remain the same: Krasnodar Krai - 2,721 Bashkortostan - 1,987 Sverdlovsk Region - 1,929 Tatarstan - 1,780 Chelyabinsk Region - 1,606 Perm Krai - 1,490 Samara Region - 1,451 Buryatia - 1,316 Moscow Region - 1,286 Rostov Region - 1,252
The capitals are still minimally involved.
We are currently paying special attention to the Leningrad Military District. Units of this district are concentrated in the north and are involved in the attack on the Kharkiv region.
Not enough time has passed to reveal the scale of the problem. So far, we have only recorded an above-average surge in Kaliningrad - there were 12 killed in a week, compared to 1-5 before.
From what we can see, our forces are inflicting very painful losses on the Russians, but they will begin to manifest publicly in June. President Zelensky, in an interview with Central Asian media, mentioned a loss ratio of 1 to 8. Something like that.
On another note,
There is slightly more active information circulating in the Russian media about the number of wounded. According to official statistics, during 2023, the number of Russians with disabilities in line to receive wheelchairs increased by more than 82,000. This is a record both in absolute and relative terms.
Overall, in 2023, the queue of Russians in need of various rehabilitation aids (wheelchairs, prosthetics, special clothing) increased by 137,000. I don't fully understand the structure of these figures; there are likely intersections, as well as disabilities not related to the war. We can talk about the growth rate for the year - six times compared to the period before 2022. Roughly speaking, about 100,000 people with serious injuries in a year according to the statistics provided by the Russians themselves.
The volume of Western aid is gradually increasing, and there will be more losses for the Russians."
