64% of Polish residents support the construction of fortifications on the border with Russia and Belarus.
This is according to a survey by SW Research for rp.pl, as reported by Polish Radio.
Participants were asked:
"Do you think Poland should build fortifications (barriers, bunkers, trenches) on the border with Russia and Belarus?"
64.3% of respondents answered affirmatively, 16.5% were opposed, and 19.2% were undecided.
It is noted that support for building fortifications increases with age. 67.2% of respondents aged 50+ want fortifications to be built. Among those under 24, 53.3% responded "yes." Additionally, 66.3% of men and 62.6% of women approve of strengthening the border.
The survey was conducted by the research agency SW Research on May 14-15 among 800 users of the SW Panel online panel aged 18 and older.
