On December 3, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Health, Medical Care and Medical Insurance held a meeting with representatives of the American company CoAg Medical, inventors and manufacturers of coagulants BleedStop, StopsBleeding for stopping blood, and the My Medic company.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, Chairman of the VRU Committee on National Health, Medical Aid and Medical Insurance Mykhailo Radutskyi, General Director of the "CoAg Medical" campaign Patrick Spearman and General Director of the "My Medic" campaign David Barlow, doctors.

During the meeting, company representatives presented hemostatic coagulants, which were donated to Ukraine as humanitarian aid. They held a presentation and mini-training on doctors' use of these products.

"Given the price paid by the defenders of Ukraine with their lives and health, defending our independence every day, and the need of Ukrainian doctors for blood-stopping drugs necessary to save both civilians and military personnel affected by the military aggression of the Russian Federation, the importance of such assistance is difficult overestimate We are extremely grateful to international partners for their understanding of the situation in which the domestic medical system found itself and our sincere desire to support it," emphasized Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.

For reference

These hemostatic drugs minimize bleeding in cuts, lacerations, and serious injuries. The FDA - Food and Drug Administration (USA) - has given the products the distinction of "Safe in the wound" (which means that they do not need to be removed because the body absorbs them).
