In Ukraine, experts from Kyiv have developed an electric quad bike called HIMAKS for military purposes. According to dev.ua, five of these vehicles are already in operation on the front lines.

The HIMAKS electric quad bike has a range of 150 km and can carry up to 300 kg of cargo along with the crew, including the evacuation of wounded personnel from the battlefield.

It is equipped with two interchangeable LG batteries - the main and an additional one. These batteries are purchased from a contractor company in Kyiv.

"The batteries can be removed quickly. If something happens to the quad bike, both batteries can be removed in 15 seconds," one of the vehicle's developers explained to the media. The quad bike costs around 400,000 UAH in standard configuration and 440,000 UAH for the full configuration, which can include features like a roof and a trailer.

"Depending on the configuration, for example, there's a roof, and there's also a trailer for it that you can order," one of the HIMAKS developers stated.

The company has established production in Kyiv, where several dozen designers and developers work. Currently, five HIMAKS quad bikes are operational in combat conditions. The name of the invention is associated with the founder of the company, Maxim Guzya. The electric quad bike is named after him.

Currently, the company is producing a few of these electric quad bikes per month, with plans to scale up production and manufacture up to 100 vehicles in the future.
