During an interview with Trwam TV, Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that Ukraine must be involved in all negotiations concerning its future, emphasizing that Poland has a responsibility to advocate for this inclusion. He remarked,

“There is no possibility for any agreements about Ukraine's future to be made without Ukraine.”

Duda recalled Poland’s own complex historical experiences, particularly those related to agreements concluding World War II. He highlighted that it is in Warsaw’s interest to ensure that those directly affected are at the negotiating table, noting that Poland itself was once excluded from discussions that determined its future.

“If we do not fight for Ukraine to be at the negotiating table today, we risk facing similar exclusions in the future. We must do everything possible to prevent such practices from occurring again,” the Polish leader affirmed.

He further added that negotiations about Ukraine's future without its participation raise various doubts about the intentions of those organizing such meetings.
