Anton Gerashchenko believes that the rallies in Astana against Tokayev were staged by pro-Russian forces.

The protests in Astana that erupted on Saturday, November 26, after the completion of the inauguration ceremony of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, were organized by pro-Russian forces. Their goal is to weaken the President of Kazakhstan, who does not want to be Putin's satellite.

This opinion was voiced by the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko in his Telegram channel.

He recalled that the President of Kazakhstan, during the economic forum in St. Petersburg this year, openly told the head of the Kremlin that Astana considers the territories occupied by Russia to be part of Ukraine and does not intend to change its position on this issue.

"Their (protests) goal is to weaken the current government of Kazakhstan and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev himself, who dared to contradict Putin. Tokayev at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, said that he does not recognize Ukraine as the Fuhrer sees it. Also, the head of Kazakhstan is trying in every possible way to show his Russian colleague that he will not be his ally and satellite," Gerashchenko said.
