The company "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" plans to increase production to 50% in 2024 by operating two blast furnaces, according to a statement from the company's press service.
The announcement was made by the CEO of "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih," Mauro Longobardo, during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Martin Eger.
"In 2024, we plan to increase production volumes and expand production capacities by operating two blast furnaces. Thus, the loading of our production capacities will increase from 30% to 50%," noted Longobardo.
He also emphasized that the metallurgical plant is ready to rapidly increase production volumes and support Ukraine in its post-war recovery. To achieve this, the company has retained its workforce, avoided layoffs, and all production equipment is in working order despite power outages and even missile attacks.

The visit program of the German Ambassador included discussions with the plant's management on the current state of the enterprise, its development prospects, and a visit to the blast furnace production.
