The Armed Forces of Ukraine applied a new tactic and liberated an entire city from Russian invaders in a day.

Aleksey Arestovich, the adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, spoke about this in an interview with Russian human rights activist Mark Feygin, without naming the city until the official announcement of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The city, which we do not name, was captured in a day with one blow. This is a huge success … The Russian units took similar cities for several weeks … This tactic took them by surprise very much; they did not have time to do anything, even figure it out," he said.

“From the eastern outskirts of this city, we reach the Kupyansk artillery, the main supply artery for this entire gang in the Izyum region, the entire northeastern group on Donetsk. The one that was advancing on Sloviansk and Kramatorsk,” Arestovich added.

According to him, the only place where the Russians are now advancing is the Bakhmut direction: "In other places, either a stationary front or we are advancing."

Recall, Arestovich said that the Ukrainian army is conducting counter-offensive operations in two directions:

"Ukrainians are pressing, pressing very hard. And, of course, the Russian command is confused. And why in two places? Because we do not allow them to maneuver reserves, to strengthen another at the expense of one direction."
