Arestovich thinks that the threat of an offensive from Belarus is too exaggerated and explains why the aggression of Lukashenko's army is doomed to failure.
Aleksey Arestovich, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, claims that the unlikely offensive of the Belarusian army into Ukraine in the border area will run into fierce resistance from both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and local hunters.
He spoke about this in a conversation with Russian human rights activist and blogger Mark Feygin.
âLetâs imagine that Lukashenko gave the order to attack. Military people must follow orders. When an army without combat experience begins to advance along the forest paths of the Rivne region, our furious soldiers will tear them until they completely tear them apart,â Arestovich assured.
According to him, the wrath of everyone will fall upon the Belarusian soldiers - both the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the fighters and local hunters.
âIt was in February that we still had fears and doubts. Now no one will feel sentimental when shooting at the occupiers. Belarusians understand this well and have not moved anywhere for four months,â the expert noted.
