Military observer and former adviser to the Office of President Aleksey Arestovich expressed this opinion on building tank factory in Ukraine, during a conversation with Russian opposition and human rights activist Mark Feygin on YouTube
"The Rheinmetall concern is negotiating the construction of a Panther tank plant in Ukraine.
What do they expect when there is a war in Ukraine, and the country is not a member of NATO?
It is hard to believe that the managers of such a giant make plans without solid foundations.
Maybe by the time of the start of production of brand new Panthers, Ukraine will already be in NATO or has security guarantees that do not imply the possibility of Caliber arriving at the factory?
Substantial deliveries of Western-style tanks to the Ukrainian Defense Forces are being announced.
In parallel, preparations are underway for creating a tribunal for war criminals, where the EU leadership says that Russia and Putin must answer for everything.
And this once again confirms that the collective West has a plan to help Ukraine defeat the enemy, punish war criminals from the Russian Federation, help in post-war reconstruction, and guarantee security.
This is entirely consistent with the Ukrainian peace plan presented by the President."
