The League of Free Nations, which united representatives of the "peoples enslaved by Moscow," turned to US President Joe Biden for help. Activists from Buryatia, Mordovia, and Tatarstan asked the American president to support their peoples in exercising their right to self-determination.

The activists timed the open letter to coincide with the annual week of the enslaved peoples, which has been held in the United States since 1959. The representative of Buryatia Rajana Dugar-DePonte, the Tatar Irshat Khabi and the representative of the Finno-Ugric people, Vitaly Romashkin, staged a rally in Washington with the flags of their peoples.
âAs a Buryat, it pains me to realize that the Kremlin uses Buryat children to achieve its criminal goals â to seize new territories and expand the empireâs borders. Actually, the war is all that Moscow can offer the guys from the Buryat villages. Disappear like cannon fodder in another war. I do not want such a future for Buryatia and my people," Rajana said.
Earlier, a human rights activist from Buryatia told how the region's inhabitants are sent by force to the war.
The media also wrote that Buryatia's military is buried almost daily.
The League of Free Nations is an alliance of the Bashkir, Buryat, Ingrian, Cossack, Kalmyk, Tatar and Erzya national movements, which openly declare the goal of creating new federal states and secession from the Russian Federation.
